Wind-contract for Siem Barracuda

Siem Offshore has secured an offshore wind contract in the Far East, in cooperation with Seaway 7.

Seaway 7 is the renewables business unit of Subsea 7. «Siem Barracuda» will take part in the project for a minimum period of 100 days, options excluded. «Siem Barracuda» is one of the company´s five OSCV vessels. It is designed for subsea operation duties such as construction and installation work, inspection and maintenance.

Siem Offshore has since its early entrance to the offshore wind segment, contributed with over 200,000 personnel transfers at sea. CEO Bernt Omdal says Siem Offshore has positioned itself as a leading player in this segment.

– We continue our strong commitment to the renewable energy business, and it is highly satisfactory to experience that our presence in the “mature” offshore wind markets elsewhere in the world now results in our organization being a preferred partner for our clients globally, says Omdal.
