ESG report 2021

Siem Offshore’s Evironmental, Social and Governance (ESG) report 2021 has now been published. The report provides an overview of the most important ESG-performance relevant for our stakeholders.

Sustainability is well-integrated in Siem Offshore’s operations, and we fully support the United Nations (UNs) Sustainable Development Goals and the UN Global Compact’s Principles on human rights, labour standard, environment, and anti-corruption.

In 2021 Siem Offshore set the following long-term environmental goals in line with NSA:

• To cut our greenhouse gas emissions by 50 percent per unit by 2030, compared to 2008

• Only order vessels with zero emissiontechnology from 2030

• Climate neutral fleet from 2050

Further in 2021 a new emission parameter was introduced; the Carbon Intensity Indicator (CII) which expresses the efficiency of fleet when in operations offshore. The CII will be an important KPI going forward.

Another highlight in 2021 would be the mapping of seafarers in terms of gender, age, part time employment and salary. This mapping will form basis for important work on diversity and equality the coming years.

The report is prepared by the company’s ESG-group, consisting of ESG Director, Finance Director, HR Director, Business Development Manager and HSEQ & Compliance Advisor.
